Hello, I am Erika, the baker behind Isa’s Cakes.
Five years ago, in Maracay, Venezuela, I embarked on a journey that changed my life.
I had always been searching for my passion, trying different paths, from administration and public accounting to pharmacy and first aid.
But it was in my kitchen where I finally found my true love: pastry.
It all started with an old cookie recipe that I found among my books
Although the first attempt was not successful, the creation process captivated me completely.
I didn’t give up and kept trying until I perfected the recipe. My cookies became a hit among my family and soon I started selling them. But I wanted to offer more. So I started making cakes.
My cakes were an immediate success, but I still had a lot to improve.
I set out to study to become a master pastry chef and learned a multitude of techniques and skills. As my knowledge grew, so did the quality and beauty of my creations.
Two years ago, I moved to the United States and it was here where I officially started with Isa’s Cakes. I am excited to continue growing my business in this new home.
And I am very grateful because I have made cakes even for artists 😀
